It's the best baster I've ever had. I know that it will last me for the rest of my life, and I will pass it on to my children. It is exactly as advertised...and more. I would recommend it to anyone. Great price, great value, great product!

Great basterJan 02, 2010
My mother has a stainless steel baster, given to her and my father as a wedding gift. Circa 1956. It has stood up not only to heat, but the test of time also. Hot liquids don't bother it. I have looked and looked (for years), for one that was stainless steel. I could never find one and so I always ended up with the plastic kind, claiming they could handle hot hot temps and/or liquids...which they couldn't and would always promptly melt on me. When I saw this baster, it was a no-brainer to purchase. I'm not sure I'll ever use the injector, but the baster has already been tested and lived quite well up to the reputation I already had in my head for it.

Baster for life!Mar 09, 2012
Love this baster. I wanted to replace my old, plastic baster because it was likely BPA-laden. Imagine my surprise when I found this stainless steel version!
Stainless steel to last a lifetime & for easy cleaning
Bulb is silicone; so, it can handle the heat & is probably less likely to crack
Baster tapers more precisely to a point - helpful for basting in tight spaces
Cons: what cons?!

Suction could be betterApr 07, 2012
I bought this baster for transferring oils into molds for my solid lotions. The stainless steel is nice and sturdy, plus it keeps the oil warm and melted. The suction however is not great. The liquid runs right out of it unless you use the tip. This can be a problem if you are concerned with oils and fats cooling and hardening inside of it. It comes with a cleaning brush that gets some of the reside out. I find that pouring boiling water down it works better though.
